Analysis of mood board

The demographic profile for the main target audience for vibe magazine is a switch between a male and female audience, between the ages 17 and 23. Most of the audience will be single or in a relationship but very few will be married as the age group is very young. They would live in a city where it’s a busy place, they would live an apartment as a house in the city would cost too much for someone of the lower middle class or middle class. Most of the target audience is a c1 and b which is lower middle class and middle class. As a lot of the adverts inside the magazine are advertising expensive stuff such as Rolex watch and expensive cars which shows that they would have to have a lot of money to buy this kind of stuff. A lot of the audience that are at the lower age group will be students but at the higher age they would work at companies such as car shops or designer clothes shops which is a quite high paid job in the city.
Psychographic readers for this magazine would most probably aspirers and succeeders. As the young people will be aspirers and want all this nice expensive stuff and at the other end of the age gap will be succeeders people that have the money to buy these things and go to the nice places. The succeeders will drive a Chevy Malibu which is a man’s car so mostly men would buy it the women may drive a smaller car such as a mini cooper. A lot of the audience may like to go out to clubs and parties in the city. An advert in the magazine is advertising Bombay sapphire drink which is London’s gin. This shows that they are probably around London and will like to have fun and drink. A lot of the jewellery inside the magazine is expensive such as the Rolex inside which succeeders can afford.
Their lifestyle subsets would probably be yuppies or dinks. Their hobbies may be fashion shows as they like designer wear and a lot of fashionable things, some of the men may go to football matches or sports events. They would listen to a lot of rap and grind as that’s what the magazine consists of, they would have to be into hip hop music. The magazines are mostly about artists such as lil Wayne, jay-z, Chris brown and Rihanna. But there are lots of other hip hop artists involved.
