The film Step Brothers is a hilarious comedy with the wacky Will Ferrell and the funny John C. Reilly. It’s a film about two lazy, unemployed 40 year old men still living at home each with one parent living a life of treat everything done for them then Robert (Richard Jenkins) and Nancy (Mary Steenburgen) their parents get together. Therefore Brennan (Will) and Dale (John) become step brothers. They have to all move in to one big house and start off absolutely hating each other. Having fights in the garden with golf clubs and there are a few rules set out by Dale such as Brennan is not allowed to go into his beat laboratory (the room where his drum kit is)obviously Brennan has to go in there when Dales out to piss him off.

All changes when Brennan younger more popular brother Derek (Adam Scott) comes to visit them. Brennan isn’t too keen on Derek even as his brother as Derek made Brennan’s childhood a living hell and is still teasing him thirty years later. As Robert starts to dig Derek. Dale begins to hate him. Then soon Dale and Brennan noticed they share a few things and then become best friends and do everything together, they decide to make a music video which ends in a mess when they crash their dads boat. Robert then shouts at them and makes them get a job which ends in a disaster, there parents start to split apart from each other, they need to get the lives into shape if they want to save their parents marriage.
