Analysis of NME front cover
The magazine NME is a weekly issue which costs £2.30, this shows that their target audience has enough money to buy the weekly issue. Along the side of the magazine they have advertised other people that are inside such as; 'iggy pop' and 'debbie harry' which encourages the older generation that listen to that music to buy the magazine as it would have articles about music that appeals to them.
The main picture is the lead singer of 'my chemical romance' 'Gerard way' the target audience for this band would be for the younger generation who enjoy their music, so more younger people would buy that issue of the magazine as it has music that appeal to them more.
It only says the singer first name as it assumes that the target audience will already know who he is. He quotes 'we loathe what goth has become' the word goth shows the target audience because not everybody uses it and are familiar with the word.
