Analysis of Vibe magazine front page
The magazine vibe is a monthly magazine costing £2.30, aimed at the middle class as they would only have the money to buy it monthly. It is aimed at teenagers that are into r&b, hip hop and pop music such as lil wayne who is on the front cover. Shows hes cool and which quotes on the front ‘gangsta’.
The writing that is used on the front cover is slang so therefore shows again that the audience would the younger generation. Other artists that are named on the cover are t-pain and solja boy . The magazine shows it has black and white singers on the front cover such as lil wayne who is indeed black. On the cover is mostly about music, drugs and sex which brings us back to the target audience as teenagers which are interested in that stuff.
The writing used is slang such as ‘best wezzy songs’ its words that only younger people usedstand your nan isn’t going to understand what that means which shows she wouldt be buying the magazine plus she wouldn’t be bothered in the music and the front cover doesn’t appeal to her.
The main person is on a thrown which shows his power to the audience he kind of intimidates the audience the way his facial expression is and the way he is crouched down. The magazine is aimed at younger people that are into rap and grind music.
